There is a mythology that the water in Adyanpara waterfall is purified and having medicinal power by nature. The reason is each drop of the water is coming filtered by soil and there is direct impact of medicinal plants by their leaves, roots and outer part.
Adyanpara waterfall is proposed for generating electricity by Kerala Government. Still the people surrounded by the Adyanpara waterfall is using for agricultural purpose.

 It is the biggest living teak tree not only in India but also in the world, located in Parambikulam Wild Life Sanctuary in the district of Palghat, Kerala. It is 47.5 m tall with a girth of 642 cm. It is located at a distance of 80kms from Nilambur.
How To Get There
Nilambur is located around 70 km from the city of Kozhikode and this is the best transit point for those who are arriving by air and by rail. Buses and taxis are the main ways to reach the place. Thrissur is located around 120 km from the place and the city of Cochin is around 210 km away.

Nilambur Teak Forest

 Four kilometres away from the town, on the Nilambur - Gudallur roadside stands the world's first Teak Museum. In the Teak Museum, a visitor can have a first hand information on all aspects of teak. Established by the Kerala Forest Research Institute in collaboration with the Kerala Forest Department, it is thematic museum housing historical, cultural and aesthetic and scientific aspects of teak, all under one roof, arranged in the two storied building.

The closest airport is the Kozhikode Airport and this is situated around 45 km from the place. . There are frequent flights from all the important cities to the airport. One can hire taxis from the taxis stands that are located outside the airport. Taxis charge around Rs 600 from the airport to Nilambur.
